The smart grid is a cyber-physical power and energy system (CPPES). Research at the RTPIS Lab in CPPES includes:

  • Bidirectional power flows between smart devices and grid
  • Intelligent communication and sensor networks
  • Intelligent power and energy management
  • Maximum utilization of renewable energy sources
  • Plug-in (electric and hybrid) vehicles with vehicle-to-grid capabilities (gridable vehicles)
